Memory Care is a limited-edition* photographic monograph by Carolyn Cardoza in which Carolyn recalls and retells memories with her Grandma Sophie.
Through a combination of archival photos and recent documentation of Sophie's life living with dementia, Carolyn was able to explore her own fear of losing one’s memory, ultimately returning with a closer relationship with her grandma and a sense of peace after every visit.
*This fine press monograph has a limited printing of 250 total copies, each one hand-numbered and hand-assembled.

Carolyn Cardoza (b. 1983) is a Los Angeles-based artist originally from the Inland Empire, where she expresses herself as both a musician and photographer. She embraces the simplicity of analog film to document her everyday life, capturing moments that are often humorous, peaceful, or deeply self-reflective.
